Definition of - (PPQA) *Process and Product Quality Assurance
PPQA Summary The purpose of Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA) (CMMI-DEV) is to provide staff and management with objective insight into processes and associated work products.
The CMMI® is an integrated set of best practices that improve performance and key capabilities for any organization that wants to develop better products, components, and services.
Your customers, investors and board of directors have high expectations for your business.
How do you ensure that your organization will successfully achieve its full potential next year? OCTOBER 8, 2019 - Pittsburgh, PA - It’s already October and not too early to ask, “Do you have a winning strategy for 2020 and beyond?” If not, there is still time to recover, but you’ll have to act quickly. You’ll need to find a path to reach your full potential thereby delighting all your stakeholders and dramatically increasing your market share, revenue, profitability and enterprise value. 2020 can and should be your best year ever!
One of the Process Areas (PA's) in the CMMI* is Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA). This process area supports the delivery of high-quality products and services by providing the project staff and managers with appropriate visibility into, and feedback on, processes and associated work products throughout the life of the project. In this article we share an example process definition for PPQA from one of our clients.
Introduction All projects experience some level of overcommitment at different times. When the level of over-commitment is minor or sporadic, adding a few more hours, days or resources can help. However, when over-commitment is severe or chronic and commitments cannot be met, very expensive delays and quality problems can result.
One of the arguments used against Scrum and a common misconception at the same time is the idea that quality is traded for speed in Scrum. As a PST with years of experience in Quality Assurance I decided to challenge this myth. I believe and I have seen many times that proper way of implementing Scrum leads to higher quality products delivered faster than using so called traditional methods. I will look into reasons for coming up with ideas of low quality in Scrum. Then I will explore the idea of quality. Finally I will explain how Scrum supports high quality products.
Essential characteristics of Six Sigma Quality Assurance (QA)
Six Sigma quality assurance methodology and approaches have usually a standard for brilliance. It has been completed by just rising the standards of quality over-application of a systematic quality management technique. The quality system suggested by Six Sigma has formed rather extraordinary in nearly all industry with retail, BPO, healthcare, etc. Such formal skill methods are progressive with the only independent of testing the vigorous products and services to confirm that they are satisfying the principles of anticipated values and customer’s expectations relating to the products are effectively met. With the always increasing request for quality products, Six Sigma quality management has developed the prime anxiety for establishments all over the world for existence and profitability.
Abstract Customers are more digitally savvy than ever before. They expect more from technology, requiring it to become more intuitive and deliver greater benefits. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Quality Assurance is a game changer in today’s SQA world. Machine Learning algorithms has helped in achieving greater standards in terms of enhanced Customer Focus, Cost Optimisation & Superior Customer Satisfaction.
This paper emphasizes specifics of leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Quality Assurance.
Two forms of Health Check are offered the Silver Appraisal (SCAMPI B) and Gold Appraisal (SCAMPI A).
Both are led by a Certified CMMI® Lead Appraiser supported by trained Appraisal Team Members.
The primary difference between the two types of Health Check is the level of rigor and the fact that the SCAMPI A Appraisal can provide a Capability Level for each of the PMO Process Area in scope, the results can also be published on the CMMI® Institute PARS Site (Published Appraisal Results) if required.
The key deliverable being a report highlighting strengths and opportunities for improvement. This can optionally be expanded into a comprehensive PMO Improvement Plan the implementation of which can be supported by DEMIX Consultants if required.
If your PMO is not adding the value you expected then perform a DEMIX PMO Health Check to find out why!
